We believe that the arts and social good cannot exist without commercial endeavour. That’s the basis on which we were founded;
Helping venues maximise their commercial opportunities without compromising their primary purpose.
Jono Events was founded in 2019 by Neil, who has over 20 years experience in the events industry. Neil is passionate about supporting venues; helping them enhance their value, recognise new revenue streams and at the same time focus on their core purpose.
Since forming Jono Events, the company has worked with a really diverse range of venues on a variety of projects. These venues include Red Bull Racing, Saracens RFC, Whitechapel Gallery, Village Underground, EartH, Kiln Theatre, Hackney Venues, V&A East, sohoplace, London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo and Buckinghamshire New University.
Neil is an expert in marketing and selling events in the cultural entertainment and sporting areas and has a wealth of experience working with emerging brands.
Neil has worked at, and with, some of the UK’s most iconic venues including The British Museum, The Roundhouse, Museum of London, Southbank Centre, Arsenal Football Club and Allianz Park.
His record for securing events for venues includes the Mercury music prize, Bafta TV awards, Land Rover car launch event, National TV awards, as well as the filming locations for ‘The Boat That Rocked’ and ‘School for Stamerers’.
Neil has also been a judge for and presented awards on multiple occasions at the Event Awards.
Today, his experience as a commercial events veteran and his personal passion have combined to bring Jono Events to life.
Jono Events is based in Hertfordshire and works with venues across London and the South East.
“A venue with strong commercial performance is free to focus on the things it enjoys doing and cares about. Understanding this is at the core of everything we do.”

Neil Ormondroyd – Founder and Director, Jono Events
